It’s important never to under-estimate the positive sense of pride and achievement that an active
participation in any sport can engender. Irrespective of one’s natural ability and at what level one
competes, the real joy of sport is the unrivalled sense of camaraderie and get-up-and-go that it
instils in participants of all ages.
With child obesity on the rise, sports fields and safe outdoors environments in steep decline and a
depressing lack of opportunities for youngsters to truly immerse themselves in sport, there’s a
growing outcry for affordable, professionally run sports programmes like ours to give impressionable
young minds that all-important first taste of sport, a fast-paced first introduction that official stats
prove time and again to be pivotal in children adopting a more physically active outlook for life.
Our sister operation, Little Kickers, already inspires some 10,000 kids a week (both domestically
and abroad) to enjoy a gentle, yet structured introduction to the beautiful game we call footie.
However, we’re only too aware that soccer isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and that for some it’s the cut
and thrust of the oval ball that generates the biggest buzz, which is uncannily where we come in!.
Life as we know is rarely a level playing field, which is why our tailor-made programme seeks to let
every child develop at his or her own pace, by playing alongside other kids of similar ages and
abilities. In short, our two two-tiered approach (Junior and Mighty Rugby) provides a gently
staggered learning environment which allows every child to quickly find his or her feet.

For some parents the lure of participating can prove too much, whilst for others our classes provide
some much needed downtime for chilling, chatting, texting or even immersing oneself in a
nice-sized newspaper. Whether your personal preference is mucking in or sitting on the sidelines is
fine by us, on the small proviso that whatever path you take it’s the children that always remain
centre stage.
Each Little Rugby class comes complete with two coaches to ensure that each week every young
rugby disciple receives some all-important one-on-one tuition, which is instrumental in ensuring that
even the shyest child soon feels part of our friendly pack.
