A Striking Opportunity

Venue Finder

You may well have heard of us before!!  Following the huge success of the popular Little Kickers programme, we have decided to set up Little Rugby, for those children and parents who would like to try another sport.

Little Rugby is currently being launched through our network of dedicated, passionate Little Kickers franchisees, all of whom have loads of experience in delivering sports programmes to the under 5s. However we are in need of more franchisees so that we can continue to expand opportunities for pre-schoolers to play rugby.

Whether you want a change from your current role, or are just leaving college and about to enter the job market, or are a Mum wanting to return to work after a career break, a Little Rugby franchise can offer you a career with excellent flexibility and rewards, and the opportunity to really make a difference to young children's lives.

We suspect many of you are at an age when you’ve realised that your current career isn’t perhaps all you wanted it to be. In a nutshell what we offer is a fresh start, a challenging and rewarding career, where you manage and control your own business.

Obviously head office is always on hand, to help out. Our aim is to provide a little extra protection whilst you find your feet. More than that, our dedicated backroom team will do everything in their power to provide helpful guidance.

Attitude, not a background in rugby, is the all important asset, because step-by-step training is provided from the very outset. If you like space to do your stuff, yet would welcome the ongoing support of a passionate squad of enthusiastic, like-minded go-getters we’d love to hear from you.

Please drop us a line today, because it’s only through people like you that we’ll achieve our end goal of providing more pre-school kids with a positive introduction to sport.

Things to consider when choosing a franchise

In addition to the obvious considerations- “do I like the idea and do I think I could make a commercial success of it?”- if you are thinking of embarking on a new career as a franchisee, we think there are a few points you might want to address with the franchisor before taking the leap.

These include:

  1. Are you a member of the British Franchising Association?
  2. How many people have successfully set up, and are running franchises?
  3. Have you had any failures?  Have any franchisees decided to stop running their franchise?  If so, what was their reason for this and did they manage to resell the franchise?
  4. Have any of your franchisees purchased additional franchises?  If so, was this because they failed to achieve the projected revenues from the area they had been allocated?
  5. Is the Franchisor charging more for their franchises now than they did when they first started franchising?  This question reflects how the inherent value of the franchise is perceived in the marketplace - if a franchisor needs to drop their prices it is likely their product is not living up to expectations.
  6. Would you be happy to provide me with a list of all of your franchisees, and for me to contact a selection of them to find out first hand how they are getting on?
  7. What ongoing support do you provide to franchisees?
  8. What is your operational infrastructure like?
  9. What financial controls are in place?
  10. Do you have a mechanism in place to control the quality of the programme across the network?  One badly-run class can have a negative impact on the group as a whole.
  11. Are there any hidden penalties in your franchise agreement?  Ie do I have to pay monies in addition to the Management Fees / IT Levy if I fail to achieve certain targets?
  12. Do I have to pay an additional fee to renew my franchise once the initial term is over?  If so, what do I receive for this?
  13. Did you, as Franchisor, run a pilot prior to franchising the business?  How long did this run for?  What convinced you it was a success?

Why Little Rugby?

Little Rugby is the sister company of Little Kickers which already has a proven track record of success both in the UK and internationally, and has experienced impressive growth.  This is due, in part, to an increased focus on the importance of encouraging children to participate in sport, and also to the quality of the people we select as franchisees, and the extensive training we provide.

In addition to the obvious financial rewards that Little Rugby offers, franchisees are provided with ongoing Head Office support.  We do not encourage franchisees to compete with each other, but rather to support each other and work together.  Interestingly, we rarely advertise our franchise programme, since our prospective franchisees tend to find us through our website, or word-of-mouth.If you are interested in finding out more, please contact Salli on 01235 859250.
